Can we truly have a labor day.

the_sn0wygooseTomorrow is Labor Day in the United States. Unlike the rest of the world which celebrates May Day, we wait until the very end of summer and we don't give those who truly deserve a rest a holiday.
Can we in honesty say this is a rest from our labor when our fellow citizens do not?
